In the game of Clash of Clans, one of the main objectives is to defend your base from enemy attacks. In clan wars, this becomes even more important, as you want to prevent the opponent from getting three stars from your base. Therefore, it is crucial to design a base that can defend against any attack strategy. This article will discuss a Town Hall 14 war base design that has proven to be effective in preventing the opponent from getting three stars.
The key feature of this base design is the placement of the Clan Castle in the center compartment. By doing so, it becomes harder for the opponent to lure the Clan Castle troops at the beginning of the attack. These troops will act as a defense later in the battle. It is suggested to use a combination of super minions, head hunters, and archers or a combination of lava hound, head hunters, and archers for the Clan Castle troops.
The Town Hall is placed on the outer compartment. This strategy prevents the opponent's siege machines from dealing more damage while targeting the Town Hall. The Eagle Artillery is placed far from the Town Hall on the other side of the base. This way, the opponent cannot take both buildings at once. If they start their attack from the Town Hall side, then it will be hard to destroy the Eagle Artillery, which will create difficulty for the opponent to get the third star from this base. On the other hand, if the opponent starts their attack from the Eagle Artillery side, then it will be hard to get the Town Hall later in the battle.
Traps are placed near the Town Hall, which works even on the Grand Warden ability to hold the opponent's troops for some time. This gives an advantage to the defensive structures to eliminate the opponent's troops. All other main defensive buildings are placed into different compartments. This strategy makes it hard for the opponent to get more value from the base using lightning spells. Since these main defenses are scattered all over the base, they can provide both ground and air coverage all over the base.
All the defensive buildings that can deal splash damage on the opponent's troops are placed evenly on this base. This strategy protects the base from Bowlers, hog riders, Yeti, and miners. Because of this, the opponent needs to use their spells frequently. The core part of the base is guarded with these main defensive structures. Ordinary defense is placed on the edge of the base to protect those parts from ground and air troops.
All heroes are placed near the main defensive buildings. This strategy buys some extra time to eliminate the opponent's troops while they reach near these buildings. Storage buildings have more hit points than other buildings. Therefore, they are placed in front of the defensive structures, which will give extra time to eliminate opponent's troops while they are lock on these buildings.
All traps are placed in the area where they can work effectively against different attacking strategies. Most of the buildings are placed one or two tiles far from each other, so that troops like electro dragon and Valkyrie cannot damage multiple buildings at once.
