Clash of Clans is a mobile strategy game developed and published by Supercell. In the game, players build and defend their own village, and attack other players' villages to earn resources and gain trophies. The game features a single-player campaign mode and a multiplayer mode, in which players can join or create clans (teams) to compete with other clans in a variety of challenges. The game uses a freemium model, meaning it is free to download and play, but players can purchase in-game currency and items to enhance their gameplay experience. It was first released for iOS in 2012 and for Android in 2013. It's one of the most popular and successful mobile games till date.
The June 2019 update added the ability to share layouts through deep linking. Players who wish to share base layouts can do so by either sharing it through clan chat (where clan mates with similar Town Hall or Builder Hall levels can copy it) or by sharing it as an external link.
If players use the latter method, the link will be copied to a clipboard where it can be pasted as a link. Anyone who clicks on the link outside of the game will be taken to the game's site, where they will have to open Clash of Clans in order to open the layout, where they can then copy the layout if they have a similar Town Hall or Builder Hall level.
